A Modest Proposal formed in 2017 as a fresh take on emo and post-hardcore. Their genre-bending sound has a defined, yet unfamiliar feeling. They combine ambient jazz and rambunctious power chords with bombastic vocals. While they smother you in sound, their lyrics touch on themes of vulnerability, melancholia, and acceptance. The band is comprised of Brandon Bertinotti (vocals/guitar) Darin Harger (drums/percussion) Mason Bradley (vocals/bass). Silly (single) 2023 - ôSillyö serves as an anthem of redemption: when one makes it "so close so far" as "fingers trace scars," both success and fear take form. Infused with a dominant groove and eloquent vocals, it is realized we "can't go back there," as the "pain is too much it's grave." Instead, we tell ourselves "I'm here to stay."
