Resolution of Happiness transcends traditional genres, showcasing nineties inspired alternative music with elements of dark wave, industrial and glam. Another big inspiration for this collection of songs is friendship, front man Mychael says: ôFortunate am I, to have the friends that I have! Knowing that the mates and I were writing an album, some of them would drop in to say hello on circus day. I think if you listen closely enough to ôTongue Tied Galoreö you may catch some heavy chain smoking and loud chit chatting going on. My friends seem to be the loudest people I have ever met. Their love means so much to me and has influenced quite a bit of the mood on Resolution of Happiness.ö He adds: ôI guess you can say other peopleÆs lives caught up with me during the process of writing Resolution of Happiness. My brother and Father both passed away! It was a strange period mentally for me. I didnÆt know what was wrong or what was right at certain times. I just knew that I needed help and this album along with spending time with my bandmates traveling and playing shows saved my life.ö The first single from the album is ôNecessity Mealö and Post-Punk says: ôThe track echoes the sounds of Clan of Xymox, Placebo, Franz Ferdinand, and the Psychedelic Furs.ö Astari Nite is an alternative rock band that has made a significant mark in the dark wave music scene. Originating from Miami, Florida, their music blends elements of alternative, post-punk and new wave, resulting in a distinctive dark glam sound. Their style is reminiscent of classic alternative bands like The Cure and Depeche Mode, yet their modern production and unique lyrical content give them a contemporary edge.
