Despite ║ │ │║ all these ambiguities will appear on Mighty ║ │ │║ Monster Records , a new release of the old- ║ │ │║ school metallers from Nordhorn in Lower Saxony. ║ │ │║ It is a compilation entitled "Warriors Of Time" ║ │ │║ . ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ This compilation is continued throughout the ║ │ │║ entire oeuvre of ATTACK , taking into account ║ │ │║ the previous six longplayer . The dance opened ║ │ │║ "Danger In The Air " from the eponymous debut ║ │ │║ album. It quickly becomes clear what the North ║ │ │║ German place particular value: melodic leads , ║ │ │║ catchy hooks and well- developed highlights. All ║ │ │║ this provides the opener also . It is a pity ║ │ │║ that he is the only excerpt from the debut ║ │ │║ release of the band. ║ │ │║ "Back To Attack" from the '89 album " Destinies ║ │ │║ Of War" holds roughly also at this orientation , ║ │ │║ but is overall a bit more energetic and driving ║ │ │║ . The highlights are , in my ║ │ │║ opinion it the melodic "Danger In The Air " , ║ │ │║ the darker "Dirty Mary " , the atmospheric ║ │ │║ "Heroes Die Young" , the varied "In The Gloom ," ║ │ │║ the jaunty "Wonderland" , the powerful , ║ │ │║ anthemic "The Warrior " , the epic" I Know " and ║ │ │║ the multi-layered Long Track " Death Rider " . ║ │ │║ But the songwriting hands of the principal ║ │ │║ composers Ricky van Helden makes itself above ║ │ │║ all in a consistently good level noticeable . ║ │ │║ Van Helden , who is also the only occupation ║ │ │║ constant of the band from its foundation , is ║ │ │║ also characterized of as a variable and ║ │ │║ expressive singer. As befits a good NWOBHM front ║ │ │║ man , it shall proceed up to extreme heights, ║ │ │║ but meets all sounds fishy . ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ ATTACK serve successful old-school heavy metal ║ │ │║ somewhere on an intersection of Storm Witch , ║ │ │║ Grave Digger , Iron Maiden and Running Wild , ║ │ │║ but without ever emulate one of the better-known ║ │ │║ troops completely . For those who have never ║ │ │║ dealt with this band , is "Warriors Of Time" a ║ │ │║ successful introduction to the subject .
