90Æs. Intrigued by DjÆing, he decided that his place was behind the decks. Influenced by the New York sound, this native of ParisÆs suburbs turned to beat-making around 2000, and made his debut with French groups OLG and K.O.. He went on to drop multiple mixtape series dedicated to his musical roots, shining a spotlight on underground US Hip-Hop. He released ôPrisonö in 2007, ôRugged Soundzö Part 1, 2 and 3 in 2008, 2009 and 2011, and a series of four mixtapes in association with the LeBanlieuzart.com site. It is in these mixtape series you can listen to the first productions of Dj Low Cut with US MCÆs such as Smiley The Ghetto Child (ô718 G Codeö and ôDownö) and Dirt Platoon featuring Nutso (ôDouble Shotö). HeÆs also been active in the Paris scene during his residences at the Tape Bar and the Downtown CafΘ, as well as during warm-ups for Heltah Skeltah, EPMD, Army Of The Pharaohs, Sean Price, and Lord Lhus vs AlÆTarba. After two months spent in the mecca of hip-hop, New York, during the summer of 2011, he recorded more than twenty titles. Upon his return home he dropped his first album ôNY Minuteö on his own label Rugged Records in 2012. It featured artists such as Guilty Simpson, Ruste Juxx, Blaq Poet, Reef The Lost Cauze, Dirt Platoon, King Magnetic, Jojo Pellegrino. This album was remixed the year after by some of the best French beat-makers in the game (Astronaut, AlÆTarba, Kyo Itachi, Dj Brans à), giving us ôFranceÆs Finest NY Minute Remixö. His 2013 project ôIn the Cutö, created in collaboration with Queens rapper Nutso, would also feature some exceptional independent US talent in Rasheed Chappell, AG da Corner, Timeless Truth, C-Rayz Walz, and others.
