It took Samuel Arkan a ║ │ │║ year to write all the tracks for ║ │ │║ ôFantasmagoriaö. The album got the mix and the ║ │ │║ mastering from Jacob Hansen, who also worked ║ │ │║ already with Volbeat and Pretty Maids. Hansen ║ │ │║ did a great job, since the album got a clear and ║ │ │║ powerful sound which supports the kind of music ║ │ │║ in a perfect way. ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ Epysode managed to also get guests on board. ║ │ │║ Tom S. Englund from Evergrey is supporting Arkan ║ │ │║ on five song on the record as well as e.g. Mike ║ │ │║ LePond from Symphony X. The surprising thing is, ║ │ │║ that even with all those guest musicians the ║ │ │║ album sound very tight. It seems that Arkan ║ │ │║ managed to create a kind of æband spiritÆ for ║ │ │║ this album. ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ The opener is a kind of intro. It is a duet ║ │ │║ which is just supported by only the piano. The ║ │ │║ song is called ôFile û 4180ö and it sets the ║ │ │║ scene for the rest of the album. Most of the ║ │ │║ songs are kept in a midtempo like e.g. the ║ │ │║ highly melodic ôVenomö which has a great bridge ║ │ │║ and chorus. There is also the pretty dark ║ │ │║ ôT.H.O.R.N.S.ö which is another duet. With ║ │ │║ ôGarden of exileö the album also has a good ║ │ │║ ballad and the epic title track shows all the ║ │ │║ experienced of the involved musicians. But there ║ │ │║ are also the very heavy and powerful songs on ║ │ │║ the record. ôThe black paradeö is one of them. ║ │ │║ Pounding guitars and heavy riffs are in focus in ║ │ │║ this track. ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ ôFantasmagoriaö is an album which will be loved ║ │ │║ by all fans of the earlier mentioned band.
