Although Sherman used the last part ║ │ │║ of Mercyful FATE as the moniker for his new ║ │ │║ band, the music was completely different. No ║ │ │║ black metal this time around, but Scandi melodic ║ │ │║ hard rock of the better sort! Up to now I only ║ │ │║ had a copy of said album on vinyl and I have to ║ │ │║ say that it feels pretty good to finally own a ║ │ │║ copy on CD. The material might be 21 years of ║ │ │║ age, itÆs still a pleasure listening to such ║ │ │║ tracks as ôLove On The Roxö, ôFallen Angelö, ║ │ │║ ôVictoryö and ô(SheÆs Got) The Devil Insideö. ║ │ │║ Coincidence or not, but the above-mentioned ║ │ │║ tracks were all put upfront the album. The ║ │ │║ material on the second half of the platter was a ║ │ │║ lot less impressive à as well as the production. ║ │ │║ But for a debut album the end result was still ║ │ │║ more than OK. Added as a bonus track on this MTM ║ │ │║ Classix re-issue is the 12 inch version of the ║ │ │║ song ôWonÆt Stopö, but thereÆs something ║ │ │║ seriously wrong with its sound quality on my ║ │ │║ promo copy. Hope this is not the case on the ║ │ │║ finished product! (4,5 stars) ║ │ │║ Following a class album like ôA Matter Of ║ │ │║ Attitudeö wasnÆt an easy thing to do and ║ │ │║ ôCruisinÆ For A BruisinÆö was indeed less good. ║ │ │║ The songs were not that strong and the album ║ │ │║ even contained a (superfluous) re-recording of ║ │ │║ ôLove On The Roxö from their debut album.
