RELEASE NOTES ..:: ] ............................ Haievyk aka Ruslan Haievyk returns to Bonzai Progressive with the fantastic two tracker titled The Universe. This one follows the well-received Heartbeat as well as remixes for his own MacoVision project and Scott Rotton. Ruslan is on fire at the moment, he has dished out some top-quality stuff for us in the last few years and we always get excited when his newest works come through the office. His love for electronic music started with The Prodigy which got him hooked. He also likes soft and powerful sounds with melodic parts. He has seen releases on several labels from across the northern hemisphere and he has won a number of music-based competitions in the last several years. His music has seen airplay on many radio stations including Kiss FM, DJFM, DFM and BBC Radio and his DJ sets are known to bring an energy to the floor and for being immersive and dynamic. The Universe is a wonderfully constructed piece that tells a compelling and mysterious cosmic story. We're eased into the groove with nifty rhythmic percussions and a solid kick drum leading the way. Distant synths begin to tease as a rich, subby bassline takes control. The synths gain momentum as cascading arpeggios come through. The break is the main event here though, mystifying and breath-taking thanks to a subtle display of pads and expertly crafted FX. A fantastic slice that will not disappoint. Dynamic delivers a pure, driving progressive groove that locks us in right from the off. A tight drum arrangement is at the core, keeping the rhythms flowing and the groove solid. Spacey synths flow in abundance, setting out that mesmerizing vibe. Powerful basses drive the groove, offering us deep droning sequences to dancey plucks. On the break we are treated to some classic style synth stabs that enrich the groove brilliantly before we head back to full on mode.
