Hard Chiller is a new musical project formed by Steve Choi (RX Bandits/The Sound of Animals Fighting) and Joe Vannucchi (From Indian Lakes). The band will be releasing their debut EP titled "Heavy Cell" set for release on June 28, 2024 via Born Losers Records. The first two singles "Close By" and "Clouds" taken from the forthcoming EP can be streamed below, and are a dose of 90s inspired dreamy but heavy guitar fueled spacey alt-rock, which are sure to please fans of bands like Failure, Hum, Deftones, Smashing Pumpkins along with fans of the band members previous work. Hard Chiller is an outlet for the duo's lifetime of musical consumption and inspiration. The project's debut EP, Heavy Cell, showcases a constant theme of juxtaposition. The EP skillfully blends old and new, pretty and dark, hard and chill. Choi and Vannucchi knew instinctively that they would lean into what makes them feel good to hear and play in this project. The result is a sound that is both heavy and dreamy, dense yet light. Rounded out by Casey Deitz (The Velvet Teen) on drums and Roger Camero (The Warriors, No Motiv) on bass, their debut EP is definitely one worth checking out. RIYL: Deftones, From Indian Lakes, RX Bandits, Smashing Pumpkins, Failure ............................................................................ LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLEEEEE!
