We began as ████ ░████ ██ █ ███ nothing more than a dream, a lone 10mbit private ███▒ ██ ███ ████ ██ private site with very little space, and 3 ██░ █ ██ ▒███ ░██ original members (dea_|_h, hexxx, and o1oo1o). We ██ ████ ▄ ▒██░ ░██ had absolutely _no_ experience in running a crew ██▒ ███▒ █ ▒██ ███ and passed through several months of hardships and ██▓ ▒██▒ ▄ ██ ░██ ███ some rather bitter fights. For those of you who ███ ██▒ █ ██ ░██ ▓███ are (un)lucky enough to have the handful of rips ███ ██░ ██ ██░ ▓██ ███ we did from September to December of 2000, you'll ████ ██░ ██ ███ ██ ▓██▓ know exactly what I mean when I say we were utterly ███ ██▓ ██ ███ ██ ███ inexperienced in practically every aspect of mp3- ░███ ██ ███ ███ ░██ ██▒ releasing. Around December things quieted down and the ███ ██ ███ █▒█ ▓█▓ ██░ three of us pretty much gave up after months of futile ██ ██▒ █▓█ █ █ ███ ██▒ hardships and struggles, and went our own seperate ways.██ ▒██ █ █ ▀ █ █░█▓██▒ ▄ I joined SS for a period of few weeks, and was quite ██ ███ █ ▀ ██▒▓████▓ █ pleased with the treatment I received there. ▄ ██▓███ █ ████▒░▓██ █ BERC was soon little more than a faded memory. █ ░████▓███ ░███▓▓██ █▀ Then, around New Years, I happened to check the█░ ██▒▓░▓███ ███▒██▒ █ long-since defunct BERC email adress, for no ▀█ ██▓▓▒██▒ ▄ ████████ apparent reason. I found a lone email from an █ ██▒███ █ ███▒▓██ interested ripper, who ended up being rather ████░▓██░ ▄ ██ ██▓▓██ enthusiastic about joining and, more importantly,██▓████ █ ██ ██▓██ strongly supporting, BERC. I soon contaced him ██▓▒██ ██ ░██ ▒█▒██▓ and his friend (r0gi and uglie, respectively) ██▒██▒ ▒█ ████▒ █▓▓██ and thanks to their effort and dedication, ██▓██ ▓█▓ ░██████░▓▓█▓ BERC rose stronger than ever. Soon we were ██▒▓█ ░▓███ ██████▓▓▒██ finally on checkpoint, and officially part ░██▓▓██████▓ ██ ░████░█ of the Checkpoint scene. Now, a year and ▓█▓░▓██████▒ ▓█░ ██████ nearly a thousand releases later, we stand ██████▓ ██ ██ ██ ███░ stronger than ever before. BERC is now a ██████ ██ █ ██ ██░ well-oiled machine that consists of over 20 ███ ██ ▓█ ▀ ██ ▒██ hard-working rippers, all united by a ██░ ██▒ █ ░█▓ ███ burning love for extreme metal. Right before ██▓ ██ ▀ ██ ███ Checkpoint fell, BERC stood as the extreme- ███ ▒█▓ ██ █ ██▓ metal-only crew with the highest amount of ███ ██ ░█░█ ██ eleases for 2001, surpassing even the best ░██ █ ▒█ ░█ ▒█ hopes we had dared hold in the beginning of ██ █░█▓ ██░ the year. Of course quantity, as they say, is ░██ █ ██░ nothing without quality, and this we have ░██ ██░ managed to consistently provided throughout ░██ ██░ the year as well, providing releases from ░██ ██░ every little sub-genre of extreme metal. This ░██ ██░ next year will only make us stronger, and with ░██ ██░ plenty of fresh new faces, the future looks ░██ ██░ glorious indeed.
