One of those was going to be Idle Warship. A collaborative effort ░░ with Res, a female vocalist from Philadelphia. Together they are known as ░░ Idle Warship and their first album is called Habits Of The Heart. What I ░░ was most surprised about though, was that the release (and digital ░░ release aka leak) of this went by almost completely silent. I was ░░ positive that Talib Kweli had a whole bunch of fans (I consider myself to ░░ be one). Did they not care for it or did Talib and his team did not put ░░ enough effort into making noise for this album? Either way, this is ░░ Habits Of The Heart. ░░ ░░ I think for most listeners, especially those from the hip hop crowd (and ░░ Talib Kweli fans especially) should take note that the emphasis of this ░░ release is not on Talib. Of course he is going to drop bars all over the ░░ album, but his appearances are often short. He comes in quickly and ░░ leaves just as fast. He actually feels more like a featured artist. Idle ░░ Warship is actually all about Res. This is her show. I wasn't really sure ░░ what to expect when I first put this on, but I didn't mind the vocal ░░ stylings of Res. Not that I am really such a big fan of this kind of ░░ music. It's the kind of music I don't mind hearing, but I wouldn't put it ░░ on by myself (though I did to write this review of course). Lyrically ░░ this is all about relationships as the albumtitle would suggest. The ░░ music itself on this release can be real catchy and energetic. There is ░░ always something happening, as soul, hip hop, electro and what not get ░░ fused into some pretty good music. It's not a release that allows to be ░░ put in a box. There really is something to this. The productions on this ░░ album are mostly done by Farhot, but others also contribute a little and ░░ DJ Khalil also does three joints. I'd still rather see him jump on ░░ another Self Scientific album though, but perhaps this is were the money ░░ is. ░░ ░░ Idle Warship is all about Res and despite Talib's involvement, this can't ░░ really be considered a hip hop release (though it takes a little from the ░░ genre of course). I didn't mind listening to Habits Of The Heart, but ░░ it's not really the kind of music that I am into. I don't see myself ░░ playing this, but I wouldn't smack someone over the head if they had this ░░ one on. Au contraire, I'd still praise them.
