We made the music video to accompany this song produced last year, it's my own take on the classic medicine song "Madre, te siento". My intention in making a cover of this song (as well as the video) came from pain, frustration and some anger. Feelings that arise when I see what we are doing to our beautiful Mother Earth with pollution and endless unconscious expansion & construction. Especially in Tulum where I have been based the last few years. I made this version of the song fast and dancy, more suitably played in environments in which the message of the lyrics might not reach. The English lyrics are "Mother I feel you under my feet, Mother I feel your heartbeat," Spanish - "Madre te siento bajo mis pies, te siento al ladito de mi corazon." (Mother I feel you under my feet, I feel you in my heart." Simple yet powerful. I have always been passionate about protecting the environment, I worked in reforestation in Canada and have lived in several permaculture communities, and now with the birth of my son, bringing this new being into the world, I feel more passion than ever to raise awareness around this issue.
