This official release changes all that. ▄ ▄ ▄ ▄ The first CD and a half of this package now reveal the show in its ▄ ▄ entirety, and overall it is the best live performance I have ever heard by ▄ ▄ the original Experience line-up. ▄ ▄ ▄ ▄ The balance of disk 2 contains highlights of the soundchecks, which are ▄ ▄ enjoyable, though not essential, plus two entirely pointless (and ▄ ▄ badly-edited) versions of songs from the concert. ▄ ▄ ▄ ▄ That leaves disk 3, which, unlike the first two disks, is not taken from a ▄ ▄ crystal-clear soundboard recording. You would not glean it from the liner ▄ ▄ notes, which are largely recycled from earlier and rather dodgier releases, ▄ ▄ but I am fairly sure that disk 3 is taken from an audience recording of the ▄ ▄ Experience concert at the Royal Albert Hall six days earlier on 18 February ▄ ▄ 1969.
