He has over 25 yearsÆ experience with the development of marketing strategies, the writing and production of radio creative, managing the media analysis/planning/consumer research and/or buying & promotions for a variety of clients including Long & McQuade Musical Instruments and SiriusXM Satellite Radio. He wears another hat too, as a singer/songwriter, and this role has received extra attention over the last decade. The results will be heard on an upcoming trilogy of three separate releases, with the first album, Night Rains, receiving its official release today (Feb. 24). A press release notes that the albums "range musically from Roots Rock to contemporary R&B, focusing on a soul-searching examination of what Bray calls 'Crowded Isolation' and the challenges of urban life. Along for the ride is an assortment of legendary musical friends as well as the best and brightest of today's talent." The guest list of musical accompanists is indeed attention-grabbing. It includes Garth Hudson of the Band, Motown's legendary bassist Bob Babbitt, Colin Linden, Kim Mitchell, Bill King, Richard Bell, Gary Craig, Paul Reddick, Danny Brooks, Chris Birkett, Justin Abedin, and more. Bray penned and co-produced all the songs, and he shares vocal duties with guests, most notably his musical partner, Lorraine Reid. Bray's earlier work with noted producers Daniel Lanois, Eugene Martynec, and John Capek clearly paid dividends. There is also a compelling personal story to the release of the new album, one Bray initially wasn't sure he'd be around to witness.
