Maja Godicke and Kare Vernby (Farval Till Ungdomen) now gives us more music, under new duo name Kassia Klein they now release their debut album "Death To All Things Pop". It includes the singles "Kokomo" - a punky farewell to peep pressure and club life and "Svanarna" - written by Vernby years ago and now turned into a beautiful psalm. The album was written in 2017 from two different places, Godicke's residing place Gothenburg and Vernby's Stockholm, without any physical meetings. Godicke, who released solo singles like "Ligga Still" and "1920", says that her project with Vernby is an intense, creative relationship - existing remotely. They both are usually described as personal, close, and sincere with their artistry. Not sitting in the same room while writing and recording actually helped the duo keep their nudity and nerve for their collaboration, says Godicke. The duo's name comes from ancient bysantic poet and composer Kassia. Klein comes from Yves. The color blue has been a common venture for the duo, who also admire the consistancy in Yves work ethics. Godicke says that Kassia Klein is a panic room to her, a shelter where you can be honest, emotional, weak, and dreamy.
