Plus, the growling :' `: vocals are also very similar as :' `: well. Much like Enslaved, :' `: Klabautamann create epic :' `: arrangements that deliver both :' `: beauty and brutality. Tunes like :' `: "The Crown of the Wild" and "Dead :' `: Marshes" are melodic but still :' `: frantic black metal numbers, filled :' `: with menacing vocals, jagged guitar :' `: riffs, atmosphere, and acrobatic :' `: drum work. "Gloom" is a more :' `: doom/death metal track dripping with :' `: melancholia, and the title track is :' `: a lovely little instrumental piece :' `: with jazz & folk acoustic guitar. :' `: Much of the back end of the CD has a :' `: more death metal flavor, especially :' `: "Death's Canvas", "The Maze", and :' `: "The Dying Night", but whether this :' `: band is delivering black or death :' `: metal, it's always top notch. :' `: :' `: The duo of Tim Steffens & Florian :' `: Toyka, otherwise known as :' `: Klabautamann, certainly have come up :' `: with another example of progressive :' `: black metal here with The Old :' `: Chamber.
