They began rehearsing in a local warehouse along with drummer John Lengel (born 1972, Miami, FL) and guitarist Calos Figueroa (born 1970, Puerto Rico). Producer Jorge Alvarez introduced them to AndrΘs Levin, and Secta Allstar signed a record deal with Fonovisa soon after. Their debut album, called Aniquila, was released in 1997.
