Since then, Lipoma has unleashed two full-length albums and a relentless onslaught of EPs, singles, and splits-each one pushing the boundaries of modern goregrind. The 2022 debut, Horrors of Pathology, made an immediate impact, carving out a unique space in a scene flooded with banal, guttural noise. Lipoma stood apart with razor-sharp melodic death metal riffs, twisted harmonies, and surgical precision-blending brutality with unexpected catchiness. Just a year later, Odes to Suffering took things even further. Doubling down on the melodic goregrind foundation while weaving in blackened atmospherics, the album solidified Lipoma's reputation as one of the most inventive voices in the goregrind scene. Now, Lipoma is back with the third and most adventurous release yet: No Cure for the Sick. Still soaked in gore and grind, this album throws a curveball with an undercurrent of ironic optimism--think infectious skatepunk-inspired melodies crashing headfirst into bleak, gore-soaked lyricism.
