Low Torque begins in a very simple way. In a given night in March 2010 two friends Hugo Raminhos and AndrΘ Teixeira met in a bar at Set·bal where they go often. After a few drinks and some conversation they began as usual to talk about music. Both concluded that they didnÆt play for some time. They felt the urgent need to play and decided to join to release some energy. The band's creative process happened this way since the first riffs, since the first rhythms: the visceral need to play what comes from within, without details or ornaments - simple and straightforward rock music. In the very first night they forged the core that later would become Low Torque as we know it. After a few jams they felt the desire to play with a bassist, which was not exactly easy to find. So they invited the guitarist Miguel Rita with whom they shared the garage to join them, this time to play bass. Miguel accepted and the following months every week, once a week, as if it were a ritual the three got together to play, just for fun. In a natural way they began to create music and the identity of the band and the will to do something more appeared. Initially with the difficulty of finding a voice that gives soul to the band they decided to keep the project instrumental as a trio, for almost an year. But after some time Marco Resende found a demo on the net and the announcement of the band looking for singer and applied. At first hearing everyone knew immediately that he was the only possible voice to this sound and to this project. It fits perfectly and they look no further. The first record is produced and recorded by AndrΘ Teixeira in their own rehearsal room with a DIY attitude, guts and gallons of the well known golden, brewed, fermented, gasified, tasty, juicy, alcoholic beverage they love so much. They nailed a record deal with the Portuguese independent labels, Raging Planet and Raising Legends, and their debut album will be released in the 1st quarter 2012, so stay sharp folks! And so.. between beers, life circumstances and will to play, Low Torque was born.
