But if the title of your ║ │ │║ album refers to one of the finest FATES WARNING ║ │ │║ records, then it can't be so bad at all... And ║ │ │║ it isn't - on the contrary. METAL INQUISITOR are ║ │ │║ pure Metal nostalgia, everything sounds ║ │ │║ (intentional) like the 80s. Equally, if you take ║ │ │║ vocals, production, complete riff passages, ║ │ │║ everything sounds very familiar. But I mean that ║ │ │║ quite positive, because, if you love the old ║ │ │║ stuff, you have to love this, too. ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ It kicks off with the jaunty "Take Revenge", ║ │ │║ which rests upon a typical 80s riff. Could also ║ │ │║ stem from GRAVESTONE or TYRAN RACE. The next ║ │ │║ song "Zombie Drivers" starts off with SAXON-like ║ │ │║ riffs and with an original Biff touch. NWOBHM ║ │ │║ fans will love this song. The same goes for "Run ║ │ │║ For Your Lives", where a typical TANK riff is ║ │ │║ used but otherwise, they push the pedal here. ║ │ │║ Makes a lot of fun and stresses the vortex of ║ │ │║ your neck. "Daze Of Avalon" is jaunty, too, and ║ │ │║ offers a lot of gripping hooks and a pretty ║ │ │║ drive.s ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ Watch out for "Watch The Phoenix Die", it starts ║ │ │║ rather dragging and turns out into one of that ║ │ │║ typical "United We Stand" hymns, which should ║ │ │║ not be missed on such a record. Has to be a live ║ │ │║ breaker! "Bernado Gui" begins balladesque and ║ │ │║ grows into harder and fine banger stuff! I ║ │ │║ think, it has something from ATLAIN... "My ║ │ │║ Sacrifice" is even faster and is Speed Metal in ║ │ │║ pureness and "The Duke" reminds me of "The ║ │ │║ Murderer" of HELLOWEEN. Why the last song is ║ │ │║ sang in Czech, is something I don't know, but ║ │ │║ it's very fast and, ehm, pretty out of date... ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ Such a record is surely not for everybody's ║ │ │║ taste. I should give them zero points concerning ║ │ │║ originality, but the disc offers a lot of fun ║ │ │║ and it's tight despite the retro tendencies, but ║ │ │║ the songs stay in your mind and for the musical ║ │ │║ view, I give them 7,5 points.
