From artist's bandcamp:
I frequently visit Brighton. I am rather fluent in its geography and well versed
in its scents. Yet its soundtrack is a mystery to me. Whenever I come, I bring
my music with me and the only glimpses into Brighton's sonic landscape that I
ever catch are fleeting momenents during pauses between songs playing in my
headphones; or piercing, jarring noises that are so potent that they slice
through even the most advanced noise-cancelling tech. In these snatches of
reality, the noises of Brighton are not fully grasped but merely hinted at.
Each visit to Brighton for me becomes a dance between the familiar and the
uncharted, the audible and the elusive, with authentic sounds of Brighton, its
raw and unfiltered acoustic identity, staying shrouded in mystery. Despite being
a frequent visitor, I remain an outsider to its voice, oblivious to the rhythm
and tempo that come to life when the music fades and the headphones are set
aside. I never set them aside.
This EP encapsulates not just the sounds I've heard, but also the essence of
those I've missed - the unexplored auditory landscape of a city I frequent, but
have yet to truly hear.
