Skate punk band from Buvika, and active around Trondheim, Norway around the turn of the millennium. ItÆs kind of hard to say exactly how and when it all began. Because Leif and Thomas have played together for ages in several serious and non-serious band projects. And band-members have come and gone as the years have passed by. But they think it all started sometime in the late eighties. During these years they have played all kinds of music, from country to hard-rock to ska to punk. ItÆs kind of amazing that they ended up on punk rock actually, because the few people that listen to punk in this little place that they live, can be counted on two hands. The band that later is known as Numskull, was called Fake at first and started out in 1997. The line up was: Thomas (drums), Leif (guitar), Kai (bass) and Tommy (guitar and vocals). They played mostly cover songs. But the guys soon understood something had to be done; Kai wasnÆt into punk, and Tommy canÆt seem to remember lyrics and doesnÆt really have a nice voice either. So they had to get a new singer and a bass player. Then a friend of Tommy, Jan Arild, came to their rehearsel and he heard how Tommy sang RancidÆs Ruby Soho. Jan Arild understood their problem, and he decided to sing a song with them. The other guys thought it sounded alright, and most important; Jan Arild can remember lyrics. By this time Kai had gotten more interested in cars than music so he decided to quit. So Tommy had to play the bass, and he was comfortable with that. They stayed a four piece band for quite some time now, they even recorded a demo-cd called öHow Æbout thisö. They arenÆt and have never been very satisfied with the result of this cd, but they got sort of famous around Trondheim because of a coversong of RoxetteÆs öMust have been loveö. Sometime around the summer of 1999 Numskull was going to play at a KISS-cover concert in Trondheim, but Leif was on vacation in Spain, so they needed a replacement. Thomas knew this guy Roger from another band heÆd played in, so they asked him, and he agreed to play with them. When Leif got home Roger just kept coming and they are now stuck with him. In December 1999 the band recorded a new demo. The result turned out to be very good. ............................................................................ LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLEEEEE!
