Xs On Your Eyes 4:08 11. Flight Data Recorder 5:36 Release Notes: +/- (pronounced simply Plus/Minus) is probably one of the most underrated indie bands out there with their already stellar catalog while Xs On Your Eyes marks the bands fourth album. This time around the band has reduced some of their synthesizers & programmed drum beats and relied upon the live musicianship of the group. This direction suits +/- and creates a very vibrant sound throughout Xs On Your Eyes. You would think this cohesiveness would be hard to achieve because over the last two years 2/3 of the trio enlarged their families as Patrick Ramos had twins in late 06 and James Baluyut became a father for the first time last year while drummer Chris Deaner has spent that time as the touring drummer for Kelly Clarkson. What +/- missed in quality time together they clearly gained in life experience because Xs On Your Eyes comes off completely mature and should be more accessible to a wider audience with its strong harmonic indie appeal. The key element of the live instrumentation is that the band did not entirely loose the "Postal Service" like beats but found a way to perfectly balance them into the mix while developing a larger and more personal sound on the way to creating one of their best albums to date.
