The album was produced in collaboration with Binyamin Esterlis, recorded in our home studio in the north of Israel and worked with the participation of the members of the collective We Are Ghosts: David Peretz, Amir Nir, Uri Dror, Danny Reva, Shir-Ran Yanon, Udi Raz and Esterlis himself. Album launch in January 2013. * "Cold is the first song I wrote in Hebrew. It was written when I was not in Israel and I was in a bad relationship with a German guy. It was written out of a longing for my language, and out of a desire to feel close to home in a distant place. After I returned to Israel, I wrote the rest of the songs in 'Crisis Management', my second album. It's an album that symbolizes for me a radical change in the way I perceive and experience myself in the world - on the one hand it's my most personal creation, and on the other hand it communicates with the outside in ways I couldn't have foreseen or sustained a few years ago. Music at its best creates connections, intimacy, and I think and hope that this album has allowed me to get closer to those who listen to or play with me, and yes, to myself as well. * Shany Kedar's name (pronounced: Shah-knee Keh-dahr) was a hot secret passed through word of mouth in the Israeli indie scene in the last few years. Although designing numerous memorable album covers for successful indie artists in the English-singing mini-scene here, Kedar's voice was not heard. After friend and local indie-mogul Omri Levy encouraged her to compose old and new lyrics, she teamed up with him on the 24-hours poject "Unlit Cigarettes", and taking part in a Hebrew tribute project for Leonard Cohen (where her haunting cover of "Who by fire" was most memorable) and began refining songs for her debut album, Bloodlines. She has, in the past, With Israeli multi-talented electro-acoustic artist Morphlexis as the producer, gone into the studio taking her Low, Cat Power and Polly Jean Harvey influences, her artfully crafted lyrics, and talented musicians.
