Through The Ashes was formed in 2008 by James Coker (drums) and Mike Marchand (lead guitar), but like most bands they've weathered some member changes. The current lineup comprises Coker, Marchand, Tyler Granado (rhythm guitar), Brad Brockway (lead vocals) and Travis Harker (bass, backing vocals, booking). The band's music is a culmination of metal, hardcore and thrash. It rocks, but an underlying focus on melody ultimately drives the music. Coker defines the band's music as "energetic and powerful, while being positive and uplifting."
