ôVariaö (pronounced ôvair-ee-ahö) is a Melodic Metalcore band from Virginia,
USA known for their ambient soundscapes, polyrhythmic breakdowns and singer
Patrick RyanÆs high tenor range. Their lyrics often touch base on self
reflection, emotional trauma and overcoming adversity.
While the name is a reference to the video game Metroid, the word itself also
means ômixtureö. They chose this name because it not only reflects their
shared passion for gaming, but also their love for creating diverse styles of
music together.
The band released their latest track, ôSaturn Valleyö on February 28th, 2025.
Produced by longtime collaborator Jeff Mckinnon, it is an emotional
outpouring off their upcoming album, ôThe Changing of Tidesö coming March
28th via EMPIRE Distribution. Follow the band to stay up to date with new
releases and tours @VariaUS.
Since their inception, Varia has been featured twice on Ohrion Reacts, New
Noise Magazine, and has performed alongside the following bands:
