Tunes off this mostly instrumental █ █ album that are sure to draw you in are the title █ █ track "Doomsday", "On The Run" and the ten-minute █ █ "Corrine" (with killer almost-psychedelic guitar █ █ work) - nearly worth the price of admission alone. █ █ Looks like a couple of band members quit after █ █ 'Doomsday' was released - that's too bad. I would █ █ have loved to hear another record with this same █ █ line-up. A nice find. █ █ █ █ --- █ █ █ █ Gravestone made a couple of decent heavy metal █ █ albums in the 1980's, with a sound similar to █ █ Accept or maybe Saxon. But they started out as a █ █ more progressive rock band. This is their first █ █ album (from 1979) and since I like progressive █ █ rock I thought it could be fun to check it out. █ █ But "Doomsday" is a bit of a disappointment. The █ █ music is very monotonous and for the most time █ █ based on some repetitive riff with some pentatonic █ █ guitar soloing. A few vocal spots but mostly █ █ instrumental.
